Agri All Africa (AaA) stands as a beacon of innovation and growth in the agricultural sector, specializing in large-scale commercial farming across the African continent. With a robust presence in over 44 countries, AaA is dedicated to harnessing the immense agricultural potential within Africa. Our mission revolves around organizing farmers and value chains to boost productivity and profitability, contributing significantly to the continent’s food security and economic development.

At the heart of AaA’s success is a seasoned leadership team with decades of hands-on experience in transforming agriculture. This expertise drives our commitment to fostering commercial agricultural development through full value-chain operations, program design and management, advisory services, representation, and advocacy. Our comprehensive approach ensures that every aspect of the agricultural process is optimized for maximum efficiency and output.

One of AaA’s hallmark projects is our partnership with WACOT Rice, where we engage in out-grower farming programs with paddy farmers. This initiative aims to boost farmer yields and guarantees the off-take of paddy through buyback arrangements. Situated on approximately 10 hectares, the WACOT Rice plant boasts an annual milling capacity of 120,000 metric tons and extensive storage facilities, including silos for 30,000 tonnes and warehouses for an additional 12,000 tonnes of paddy. Our robust procurement network reaches thousands of farmers, offering support from planting to harvest.

The out-grower program has made a significant impact, benefiting over 30,000 farmers since its inception. Through partnerships with organizations like the West Africa Trade and Investment Hub (WATIH), we have expanded the program’s reach. Farmers receive quality agricultural inputs such as seeds, fertilizers, and herbicides, along with training in best practices like soil and water management. Our crop monitoring and advisory services ensure that farmers maximize their yields, which we guarantee to buy at market prices. Since 2017, these efforts have doubled farmers’ yields from just over 2 metric tons to 4 metric tons, significantly increasing their income.

In Kenya, where local rice production is primarily driven by smallholder farming, AaA has introduced the Tana Delta Irrigation Project (TDIP) to tackle prevalent challenges such as high input costs, low mechanization, and market inefficiencies. This Public-Private Partnership (PPP) involves the Government of Kenya, represented by TARDA (Tana and Athi River Development Authority), and AaA Kenya. The TDIP focuses on developing a comprehensive rice value chain with processing capabilities and a community development initiative centered on an out-grower program and a small beef value chain.

Located partly in the Tana Delta Ramsar site, the project is committed to preserving biodiversity and safeguarding wetlands. By embracing climate-smart agricultural practices, investing in clean energy solutions, and promoting sustainable land management, the TDIP contributes to several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These include SDG 1 (No Poverty) and SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) through enhanced food security and poverty alleviation, SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) through job creation, SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) via modern infrastructure investments, SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) through sustainable land management practices, and SDG 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 15 (Life on Land) through climate change mitigation and biodiversity preservation.

Agri All Africa’s comprehensive approach embodies the principles of sustainable development, contributing to the broader global agenda outlined in the SDGs. Through initiatives like the WACOT Rice partnership and the TDIP in Kenya, AaA continues to drive forward the vision of a thriving, self-sufficient agricultural sector in Africa.
